This year’s collection brings together handcrafted end-grain cutting boards, and serving + live-edge trays, designed to feel special when they’re opened and even better once they’ve been put to use.
Start with how the board will be used. You don't need to know a thing about woodworking to pick out the right one.
From classic butcher blocks to intricate geometric patterns. A substantial long-lasting cutting surface meant for daily chopping, slicing, and meal prep.
Natural edges, distinct grain, flowing lines, and a piece that is as unique as the person using it. Each made from an individually selected live edge slab of hardwood.
Perfect for cheese, charcuterie, and moments shared with great conversation around a table. Refined, versatile, and made to stand out with bold accents.
I'm Mike, the woodworker behind Yankee Custom Interiors & Woodworks. Every piece starts as rough hardwood that I select, mill, study, build, shape, finish, and inspect myself.
What started with furniture and custom work for our home grew into a love of making pieces that could be used every day.
When I'm building something that might sit in somebody's kitchen for the next twenty years, I think all of the small details matter.
Every cutting board begins as rough hardwood, long before the pattern comes together. There's lumber selection, milling, measuring, cutting, glue-ups, flattening, sanding, and plenty of little decisions along the way.
Some of the more elaborate designs take several rounds of cutting and assembly before they even begin to resemble the finished piece. It's a process I genuinely enjoy, even when it tests my patience.
Here's a glimpse of the work that goes into making each board something I'm proud to put my name on.

For someone who loves preparing meals, start with an end-grain cutting board. For someone who loves hosting, choose a hardwood serving tray. For an organic, one-of-a-kind gift, explore our live-edge trays.
Every piece is built from real hardwood that I hand select from a local lumberyard, so grain and color naturally vary. Live-edge pieces also differ in outline, handle shape, and exact dimensions. I’ll confirm those details with you before starting work.
Hand wash promptly, dry thoroughly, and condition with a suitable food-safe oil or wax as needed. Never place solid hardwood boards in a dishwasher, soak them, or leave them sitting in water. Check out this video on our instagram for a quick tutorial.
Yes. The available enhancements depend on the piece. You can select them in the order request, including personalization, feet, handles, and other applicable options. Explore end-grain enhancements, and serving/live edge enhancements.
Include your needed-by date when requesting your piece. No payment is taken upfront. I’ll review the details, confirm the price and timeline, and send an invoice before adding the project to the shop queue.
